Bridget Sharrad I've been a Freelance Make-Up Artiste mainly based in London for the past 30 years. Working on pop videos with legendary singers and bands, and photographic shoots, including celebrity personal appearances, and album covers.  However the major part of my career has been spent in Advertising, making numerous TV Commercials, where I have worked with all the top Director's and Production Companies and over the years many of the best known and award winning Advertising campaigns, making up literally thousands of models, actors, actresses and celebrities.

I have always really enjoyed working in the film and photographic business as it has suited my personality, being an outgoing and chatty person who's easy to get along with and having the ability to make people feel relaxed and at ease, as being in front of the camera is a nerve-racking experience and most artistes however famous, are underneath the confident exterior, very often insecure and nervous. That's where a caring, supportive Make-Up Artiste comes in, to enable them to be reassured, calm and make them look and feel the best they can, enabling them to be happy to face the cameras and deliver a great  performance. Everybody in all walks of  life are likely to appear more confident if they feel they look as good as possible, and an inner confidence is always an attractive trait, whether in people's personal lives or in business.

I decided to move from Central London to the South of France six years ago with my family, I have a son who goes to the Mougins International School, and have based myself in Mougins ever since. The main reason for my move was as simple as 'the weather', because for me the blue skies, sun and the natural beauty of this part of France, coupled with the fact that there's an element of buzz and glamour on the door step,  makes this area very appealing.  It's the best of both worlds, having a great climate and yet being so close to England that it's easy to pop back over to London when I feel I need a 'fix', although now I don't think I would ever be able to live back in London on a full time basis as I would find the grey skies just too depressing.
